Mental Health Awareness
The Canadian Mental Health Association designates the week of October 7-11 as "Mental Health Awareness Week.", but Mental Health Awareness always matters.
The Library has lots of books which cover many different aspects of mental health awareness. Included are books about different types of mental illness, mental and emotional wellness, and novels whose themes include dealing with mental illness.
Please come and check out these resources. They are always available. If you have any concerns or questions, come speak with me. I welcome your visits and always take your problems seriously.
Do you know about MyHealthMagazine? It's an on line magazine that deals with all aspects of mental health.
Go to www.yoomagazine.net, and set up your personal user name and password. It's a great idea to use the username and password you use here at school, to keep it simple. You'll need this access code to get yourself set up: P8JAM4
Sexting Information Sessions with Constable Lindsey
The Dangers of SextingBe careful what you say online. Never send anything over the internet that you would not say to someone's face - if you are not ready to OWN it, don't SEND it! THINK before texting! Ask yourself five questions:
T - is it True?
H - will it Hurt anyone?
I - is it Illegal?
N - is it Necessary?
K - is it Kind?
If you are uncomfortable with the answers to any of these questions, then don't send it!
Remember: Character is how you behave when no one is looking.
